Consumers Say Ally is a Trusted Bank

That’s why we’re proud of a recent study that calls Ally Bank one of the top five “Most Trusted Companies for Retail Banking.”

In a survey of 5,571 U.S. adult consumers by the Ponemon Institute, an independent researcher, many respondents said they associate Ally with the idea of trustworthiness, as well as a dedication to protecting customers’ privacy.

But the accolades don’t stop there. We’re also honored to announce that Ally appears in a recent book called Extreme Trust by bestselling business writers Don Peppers and Martha Rogers, Ph.D. The book frames “honesty as a competitive advantage” – a concept that we’re sure our customers agree with. At Ally Bank, customers are proactively reminded if they have funds in an account that could be earning higher interest, no depositor is ever charged for moving money from a savings account to a checking account in order to cover an overdraft, and the bank reimburses customers for ATM fees charged to them by other banks. That’s a competitive advantage, for sure – but more importantly, it’s just how we think banking should be.

    We have told many friends and family about Ally, simply because we do believe that the practices in place are practical and are the ones that people are looking for. The gripes that my friends and family have about their banks are all things that I can commend Ally for not doing. Before we switched, I was worried about having fees suddenly tacked on for something or having random new fees appear with little or no notice, and these are not things that I feel are concerns with Ally.

    I’M beginning to THINK that Ally’s website is TOO secure. I’ve been locked out TOO MANY times just trying to verify my opening deposit. This is EXTREMELY annoying & frustrating when an Apple IPhone4 is the CLOSEST thing to a computer that I will probably EVER own.

    I was attracted to Ally Bank when I noticed interest rates for checking acc’ts. AND that Ailly will reimburse customers for fees charged for ATM use. I’m in the PROCESS of changing banks because I DON’T think that any bank customer should be charged an ARM and a LEG just for using an ATM.

    I was skeptical when I opened my account. After several months of good service and no fees I am no longer skeptical. I opend only a checking account in the beginning. I will now probably open savings and CD. Thanks Ally.

    I am extremely happy I made the switch from brick & motar to Ally. My last bank ‘CHASEd’ me away with high fees and misc charges as they continuosly manipulated my deposits and debits.I am in the process of enrolling my family with Ally!
    PS: The eCheck deposit system is a breeze to use, once you get the hang of it!! Kudos to Ally!

    Ally, continue to do what you’re doing! Excellent website, 24 hour support, no ATM fees, no hidden fees, competitively the highest interest rates around… what more is there to say??? I recommend Ally to all my friends!

    I had an account with Ally for a long time and was happy with their service,
    but the the interest rates dropped way down and so I switched at that time. As time went on, the bank I switched to dropped their interest rates lower than Ally, so I came back and wouldn’t you know it, all of a sudden the other bank raised their rates to Ally’s level. I guess “if you can’t beat them, join them”. Glad I came back.
